How to control elbow thickness
To get good finished elbow thickness,thickness of raw pipe is important .
Thickness of tolerance on elbow and pipe are the same,it is +/- 12.5% . Thickness reduced problem will
not be happend normally,but due to tool and operating skill, some area in an elbow will has thickness
reduced problem. To avoid the problem, to add more extra thickness when choosing raw pipe.
Normally,size from 1/2-11/4,thickness between raw pipe and finished elbow will not different,but for big
size,i.e above than 6",thickness of finished elbow will be less than mother pipe about 1.2-1.8mm.More
big size,more big difference on tolerence.
Thickness reduction depend on pushing speed,heating temperature etc. To solve the problem according to actual situation.
